This course is grounded in the pastoral vision of the New Testament, with the book of Titus serving as the primary framework for leadership, discipleship, doctrine, and church life.
In addition, the following passages provide theological motivation and formative emphasis throughout the course:
• Isaiah 6:1–13 – God’s holiness producing repentance, humility, and a readiness to be sent.
• Daniel 1:8 – Convictional obedience and disciplined resolve in a compromising culture.
• John 20:20–22 – Christ’s commissioning and the necessity of Spirit-empowered ministry.
• Ephesians 4:12 – Equipping the saints for the work of ministry and the building up of the body of Christ.
• 2 Timothy 2:2 – Entrusting sound teaching to faithful people who will, in turn, teach others — the biblical pattern of equipping and multiplication that undergirds coaching in this cohort.
• Titus 1:6–9 – Character, household faithfulness, doctrinal stability, and the qualifications of church leadership.
